In re: Conewago Valley School District: Budget Notice 2023-2024NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Conewago Valley School District, at the Regular Board meeting held Monday, May 8, 2023, approved a tentative budget for the school year 2023-2024. That tentative budget has been placed in the office of the Business Manager at Conewago Valley School District Business Office, Berlin Road, New Oxford, PA and in the office of the Principal at Conewago Township Elementary School, Hanover, PA. The same will be available for public inspection at the above locations during school hours until a regular meeting of the Board of Directors for said school district to be held Monday, June 12, 2023 at 7:30 pm EDST, when the budget will be presented for adoption.

In re: Conewago Valley School District: Tax Levies for 2022-2023 School Year
Conewago Valley School District, through its School Board, pursuant to the provisions of Act No. 511 of the General Assembly, approved December 31, 1965, as amended, and the School Code, as amended, hereby gives notice of its adoption of a Resolution at a regular meeting of the said School Board to be held Monday, June 13, 2022 at 7:30 p.m., EDST, at the District Administration Office, Berlin Road, New Oxford, Adams County, Pennsylvania. Said Resolution:
- pursuant to the provisions of Act No. 511 of the General Assembly, approved December 31, 1965, as amended, levies a one (1%) per cent levy on all wages, earned income and net profits of each resident in said School District, the same as last year for general revenue purposes to meet current operating expenses, the estimated revenue to be derived therefrom to be approximately seven million six hundred thousand dollars ($7,600,000);
- levies a tax on real estate transfers at the rate of a half (.5%) per cent, under the same Act, for the same reasons set forth above, which is the same as last year, the estimated revenue to be derived therefrom to be approximately six hundred eighty thousand ninety dollars ($680,090);
- levies five ($5) dollars per capita tax per person, under the same Act, and five ($5) dollars per capita tax per person under Section 679 of the School Code, the same as last year, and for the same reasons set forth above, the estimated revenue to be derived therefrom to be approximately one hundred eighty-two thousand eight hundred twenty-two dollars ($182,822);
- levies a five (5%) per cent tax on admissions to amusements, under the same Act, the same as last year, for the same reasons set forth above, the estimated revenue to be derived therefrom to be approximately forty-five thousand two hundred dollars ($45,200);
- levies a tax under the School Code placing a 14.8524 mills real estate tax on the property within the School District, the estimated revenue to be derived therefrom to be approximately thirty-three million six hundred thirteen thousand two hundred sixty-three dollars ($33,613,263);
- pursuant to the provisions of Act No. 511 of the General Assembly, approved December 31, 1965, as amended, levies either a ten ($10) dollar Occupation Privilege Tax or a fifty-two ($52) dollar Occupation Privilege Tax dependent on municipality for the same reasons set forth above, the estimated revenue to be derived therefrom to be approximately fifty-nine thousand six hundred seventy dollars ($59,670).
The Resolution will continue previous Amendments adopting the above taxes, and all provisions of the said original Resolution and previous Amendments remain in full force and effect.
