Head Coach Job Description
The following must be returned before starting any coaching assignments

2. Clearances
Upon hire you will need to provide the following clearances. Please be sure to select Employment as the reason you are obtaining the clearances. These forms must be returned to the HR Department. Click for further assistance with obtaining clearances
- Child Abuse History Clearance
- PA Criminal History Clearance
- Federal Criminal History Report (required for all stipend coaches, volunteer coaches required IF lived in PA less than 10 years)
3. Tuberculin(TB) Skin Test
Effective July 1, 2016, all coaches will be required to provide documentation of receiving a TB test. A copy of the results must be returned to the HR Department.
4. Cardiac Wise AND Concussion Wise
This training can be obtained free of charge online through Sport Safety International (http://www.sportsafetyinternational.org). Each course is approximately 20 minutes in length. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to print a certificate which needs to be submitted to both the Athletic Director and the HR Department.
5. Continuing Education Courses will be required for coaches engaged at a PIAA Member School (Effective July 1, 2016*) More information on these courses can be obtained by contacting the Athletic Director at 624-2157 ext 2016 or the Athletic Secretary at ext 2022.
Core Courses (complete a coaching education course and a First Aid course from either of the two providers below):
First Aid, Health and Safety for Coaches ($45)
Sport First Aid (fee depends on instructor)
