Each team had to develop an eco-friendly amusement park ride. In advance of the competition, all teams were required develop their design, blueprints of their design, a journal of the steps to complete their project and a 2-minute presentation for the competition, in addition, the 6th-grade teams had to develop a budget for their project. At the competition, the students had 2 hours to rebuild their project after which they had to present their project and materials to the judges.
All of the teams were very creative with their projects and did a really good job. The Green Team placed first in the 4th/5th-grade group for the region. The team members were Anna Farmer, Bailey Bodvin and Creedon Miller. They will now compete in May at the PA State K'Nex Design Challange. |
