Hour of Code - A Big Hit With the 2nd and 3rd Grade Students

All Conewago Valley School District 2nd and 3rd grade student became coders the week before Christmas break.  All students had the opportunity to go the the code.org site and write program code for Steve or Alex to move them through the Mindcraft Adventure activities.  In addition to coding, the students were able to see short video clips created specifically to teach them about coding and to introduce them to careers associated with coding.  The students loved the opportunity to code.  If you would like to do coding with your students the opportunity still exists. Contact Dr. Sipe to set up a time to meet with you and your students.  The Hour of Code site is a free site and provides activities for all levels of learners.
