The Teacher Toolkit is a free site. I thought this site was such a great resource that I created a brief screencast to share it. Click here to view the screencast. I love this site! This week the Macbook tip is a screencast about the trackpad. If you are a new user still adjusting to all of the ways to use your fingers to move around the trackpad, check out this brief tutorial. Click here to view. I found this "FREE" tool for use with video. It could be a lesson you create and post to Youtube to share with your students or another Youtube video. This is a fairly new tool and it only accepts two types of video at this time, one being Youtube. I like the fact you can sign in with your Google account.Check it out at vizia. I found an add-on that has a free and a paid use. The free use allows me to add attachments to my gmail and I can see if the recipient of the gmail viewed it. For those who want to know if your gmails are being read, this add-on could be for you. Click here to check out this add-on. Click her for a video of the free features.

This weeks blog focuses on a tool available to all staff and to students grades 4-12. Board builders are engaging, interactive ways for teachers and students to present information. While we don't set up accounts at the K-3 level for students DE Boards are still engaging ways in which a teacher could present information to students in a center activity. This year on the blog I will be sharing a Macbook tip with each new blog post. In addition, I will continue to share Google tips and tools. This weeks Google tip is about a QR Code Generator that is a free add-on. Discovery Education Board BuilderBoard Builder in Discover education has many uses. I have shown below a number of examples sharing ways boards can be built and used by both you and your students. All of these interactive boards can be accessed in your Discovery Education account under Professtional Learning >Welcome to Your Professional Learning>Learn & Lead>Step-by-Step Guides>Board Builder If you need to set up an account, please contact Dr. Sipe either at extension 1007 or by email.
